Norsia is a Colorado
Springs based US Army veteran, singer and songwriter who is dedicated to
writing and performing patriotic songs in a way that will help
encourage, inspire and uplift the spirits of our soldiers, their
families and military communities.
Born in
Newark, New Jersey, Norsia is a self taught musician who began playing
the electric bass guitar at a very early age and was raised in
Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 18, Norsia decided to
put his guitar playing days on hold and enlisted into the US Army.
He attended and graduated from the Infantry Basic Training course at
Fort Benning, Georgia.
It was in the US Army
where he developed a great deal of respect,
admiration and understanding
of military life. After being promoted to
the ranks of sergeant, Norsia
was later given the nickname as
Sergeant H by many soldiers with whom he
would serve.
During his 16 years on active duty, he continued to
be promoted within
the sergeants ranks with his highest grade being that
of Sergeant First
Class and served in various increasingly responsible
positions to
include, infantry squad leader, platoon sergeant, company
acting 1st
sergeant, S2 NCOIC and operations sergeant.
As a family man on active
duty, Norsia often times found himself
separated from his loving wife
and three young children, but like many
other military families, they
understood and fully supported his
sacrafice of service.
