Norsia received numerous awards during his active duty period to include, the combat patch, meritorious service medal, armed forces expeditionary medal, joint service commendation medal, army commendation medal w/3rd OLC, army

After leaving the military, Norsia was selected and earned an appointment to the Presidential Management Intern Program where he spent two years as an intern and went on to be hired as a management support specialist for the Social Security Administration. However after the war in Afghanistan and later in Iraq began, Norsia was deeply moved knowing first hand what many of the men and women of our armed forces may have to experience while being deployed.

It was then that he decided to combine his musical talent with his military experience to write, perform and record on his own, patriotic songs in a way that real soldiers, their families and others could understand and appreciate.

Over the past 24 months, he has traveled nearly 50,000 miles at his own expense performing and entertaining hundreds of our military soldiers and families across the US and overseas at no cost to them. Norsia's sole support for his expenses come from on-site and internet sales of his CD.

One of his songs titled "Say a Prayer for the Soldiers" was even selected last year as one of the top patriotic songs by the Soldier Radio and TV Network. It is Norsia's desire to continue traveling and sharing his patriotic songs in hope of helping people throughout the US to understand the importance of coming together and showing continual support for the soldiers and their families.
